Boombox Cartel Drops New EP

Boombox Cartel released their new Cartel EP 4 days ago while embarking on their 2017 Tour. This 5-track EP consists of some of the duos best work yet, displaying their ability to effortlessly fuse emotional melodies with some of the hardest hitting drops in the industry.

Cartel EP starts off with Phoenix, a euphoric and emotional masterpiece of an introduction, as it transitions into one of the most powerful drops I have ever had the pleasure of hearing. Every bar has a taste of multiple different genres tucked gently among one another yet managing to stand out in a truly unique structure. You can pick out all of your favorite aspects of all of your favorite genres within every phrase and it really is an experience to listen to.

Jefe, Alamo, and Dem Fraid makeup the body of this EP and completely embody the original Boombox Cartel sound that the EDM community is absolutely raving over. Each track has its own exclusive introduction that makes it standout, from melodic symphonies to the reggae vocals of Taranchyla. They each build into the massive, arena-slaying trap drops that seem to be a staple for Boombox Cartel.

The fifth and final tune on this EP is a new super collaboration titled Widdit featuring Quix. After their last collab for the hit track Supernatural featuring Anjulie, this one had a lot to live up to yet completely exceeded all expectations. It starts with spacey, retro 80's, twilight zone type feel with as it builds into the drop. The grinding trap synths powered by hammering 808's hurdles the track forward with a wobble that is sure to get the trap arms going.

Every part of their productions features a very full sound that is wholesome even in moments of ambience. These 2 have created an innovative sound from the ground up that is destroying festival stages everywhere and raising the bar for quality Electronic Dance Music as a whole. Be sure to catch Boombox Cartel on at least one of their next 6 tour stops between now and September.
