Recently a handful of EDM superstars have made going platinum look easy. Let us not forget that a song has to sell over 1 million copies to achieve this honor. In the day and age of streaming music, that is no simple task. Just over a week ago we saw Calvin Harris' ‘Slide' achieve platinum status, and earlier this year The Chainsmokers took their track with Coldplay, ‘Something Just Like This' platinum as well.
Today though all eyes are on Alessia Cara and Zedd. Their radio chart topper ‘Stay' has officially reached platinum honors in the US. Congratulations to the duo. That being said both artists are no stranger to the honor. Alessia Cara went triple platinum for her ultra hit ‘Here' and Zedd achieved the honor with ‘Clarity' along a few other tracks as well.
