Dotcom has kind of been a forgotten name the last few years. Chris Comstock who started his career out under the alias shifted away from his first project to focus on his super star moniker, Marshmello. Understandably so as Marshmello has become a household name that crosses genre, generational and demographic lines. That being said Dotcom had a style that many fans dearly miss. Marshmello is enormous by all standards but his sound lies closer to pop than many hard core EDM fans can bare.
Dotcom Announces New Music
Today Chris sent out the below tweet, announcing that new music from Dotcom is on the way. It will be the first official release under the alias in over a year. It was a public secret that Chris was both Dotcom and Marshmello for many years. A secret that was kept up with cheeky ploys such as the projects tweeting back and forth to each other on and at one point even suggesting a B2B set. Now that the News is out, and no charade has to be kept…Dotcom has announced his glorious return.
It seems pretty interesting that this tweet should come only a week away from North America's largest EDM festival. Maybe we can expect the unexpected at EDC Vegas? Only time will tell.
