As thousands of people sit comfortably on their couches from around the world to watch this year's official EDC live stream, thousands of people are stuck in Las Vegas lines trying to get to this year's main event. Many of the festival attendees are stuck in 3-4 hour wait times due to the “horrible shuttle services” and gut-wrenching traffic. In addition to the traffic, many festival attendees are reporting dehydration in the shuttle lines and reports of attendees passing out.
Got in line for my shuttle at 5AM. Still waiting 3 and 1/2 hours later. We're sleeping on the floor and probably still have another hour to go. This is my first EDC. I paid $800 for VIP (no VIP shuttles) and $90 for a shuttle pass. From this experience, I don't think I'll be returning. from electricdaisycarnival
Insomniac's CEO, Pasquale Rotella, is usually known to be very vocal about when there are issues during EDC Las Vegas, however this year, Rotella has been very quiet. Despite his quite demeanor, Rotella finally responded to thousands of complaints online. “EDC Headliners, we hear you loud and clear on all issues related to traffic, shuttles, and Premiere Parking,” said Pasquale Rotella. “This is not the level of experience you deserve, and we are working to fix these problems. Keep the lines of communication open. If you have an issue or question, please let us know via social media. We also encourage you to ride share whenever possible, or take advantage of our new, free Park & Ride option, located at 628 West Craig Road. Park & Ride is first come, first served. The fewer vehicles on the road the better. Please remember to come hydrated—and stay hydrated. Let’s have an amazing night two!”
