Another Massive North American Festival Deletes All Socials, Pointing to Cancelation

Karoondinha was set to be a massive music festival just outside of State College, Pennsylvania (where Penn State is located). The festival featured some heavy hitters including Chance the Rapper, John Legend, Odesza, Paramore, Porter Robinson, Dillon Francis and many more. Today the festival has gone the way of Pemberton and Mysteryland USA and dropped all of it's socials. Folks, it looks like before the legend of Karoondinha could even begin, it has been killed.

Logistical Problems From The Start

While no official statement has yet been released by the festival announcing the cancellation we can more or less confirm this will be the next step. The festival has been plagued with issues. Fans noticed flash sales happening each week which was the first bad sign. Next was the fact that the name was not familiar to anyone, the inaugural year of the festival had almost no marketing attached to it at all.

Finally the festival's decision to hold the event in the summer instead of the school year is what truly did it in. Penn State main campus is one of the largest schools in the world, so the decision to throw a festival next to the University while no students were around was about as good of a decision as TomorrowWorld forgoing a rain contingency plan. RIP Karoondinha, we barely knew thee.

Also this article is pretty funny as it was written 3 days ago and titled “Karoondinha Is Nothing Like Fyre”.

Update 1, Tuesday 6:30pm CDT

As we suspected the festival has now been officially canceled. The festival cited costs running out of control as the main reason. Not surprising considering they booked John Legend alongside the largest name in hip hop and one of the largest names in EDM at the moment. Refund information is not yet available. The festival has yet to decide if they will be providing any refunds at all. Stay tuned for more information.
