In a similar fashion to the likes of gnash, blackbear and EDEN, arrives another artist bridging the normalized gaps between genres: gabriel black. The Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter and producer blends alternative rock with hip-hop, R&B roots while also adding electronic elements as well to bring a new style to the table.
Under the group that manages Sweater Beats, Prince Fox and SteLouse, among others, gabriel black released his debut single, “sad boy,” late last week and the future has began to look bright for this dark, young talent. Though not quite the growing “Post-EDM” sound that EDEN, Puppet and Stephen have brought to light, “sad boy” boasts a new and unique alternative style to keep an eye on.
