Every year, there are tours that define that present year in electronic music. Massive tours in recent years such as the Porter Robinson and Madeon Shelter tour, and the Mad Decent Block Party tours are examples of this extremely uncommon, and thoroughly influential types of tours that fans are lucky to get even more than once a year. It seems that 2017 has found it's standard when it comes to electronic music yours as everyone's favorite Canadian bass Duo, Zeds Dead, is bringing the heat to an already sweltering summer, with the announcement of a their latest label tour as well as a new weekly radio show to premiere music released on their label and much more.
ZD founded their label, Deadbeats, in the fall of 2016 with the release of their latest EP; Northern Lights. The label hit the ground running, releasing it's first compilation in February. This tour may be the most stacked lineup of 2017 in our opinion here at EDM Sauce, and it only further states the awesomeness of the duo and their new label. The tour features artists from all side of electronic music such as Anna Lunoe, Bleep Bloop, Mr. Carmack, Mija, Rezz, Megaladon, Nebbra, and Unlike Pluto. Many of these artists have not surprisingly already released tunes on Deadbeats. Other artists outside of their label include Borgore, Camo & Krooked, and even a major name in the hip-hop scene Playboi Carti. The tour kicks off tonight in Calgary, Alberta and will be hitting numerous cities in Canada and the US until December.
In addition to this tremendous tour announcement, ZD's long awaited radio show has finally come to fruition. Deadbeats Radio premiered today on Serious XM's Electric Area and it's incredibly groovy in so many diverse facets. Tunes from every corner of the electronic universe come together to help define the duo's true versatility.
