G Jones, an endlessly creative bass DJ, has broken silence since his latest EP, Visions, and posted a remix of “Pineapple” on June 30 to SoundCloud. This is one of five songs featured on EPROM‘s new “Pineapple” EP. You can listen to the entire track list here.
G Jones's remix exemplifies how genius it is to create a composition primarily of synths. This is an absolute head-banger full of twists and turns, but its steady bass provides a strong backbone that allows G Jones's mind to run wild. Wild being an understatement. The similarities of the melody to an old-school gaming machine are comforting to anyone lucky enough to experience the 145 BPM madness. To merely call it a banger is an insult to G Jones as this song far surpasses any category of greatness.
Differing slightly from EPROM's original, G Jones enhances the track by including a rapid tone and constructing a framework of increasingly intense beat drops. Jones graciously maintained the style of the original mix, while simultaneously devising a unique depth native only to his style.
