Having recently put together an updated cover of dance hit “Cry For You,” we get into the creative mind of Leo Gold as he shares his 5 ultimate guilty pleasure tracks this week…
1) Basshunter – “In Her Eyes”
Catchy dance music from 2008 at its best. I’ve always liked this one and think it stood out on the album as one of his best songs. I mean come on, how can you not love the “Are you ready to party?!” sample before the drop?!
2) Justin Bieber – “Favorite Girl”
Does this count as a guilty pleasure now when everyone has become Beliebers? I have the “My Worlds – The Collection” on physical CD and “Favorite Girl” has always been one of my favorites on that album. Justin is such a talented artist and this album has some amazing songs on it.
3) Spice Girls – “Wannabe”
I think I even took part in recording a homemade music video for this song at some point in middle school. Please don’t judge me…
4) Florida Georgia Line – “Cruise”
I’m not usually a big fan of country music but these guys sure know how to deliver well-written pop songs. What is it about that southern accent that is so damn catchy?!
5) Aqua – “Doctor Jones”
I must admit I can’t help but love this mix of pop and Euro-trance. There’s so much joy in this song, and the chords are amazingly uplifting. I usually put this on whenever I feel sad. It helps, I promise!
