Crystal Skies have released their EP Dark Ages on the New Dawn label. This EP is aptly named, for it is a fantastic display of dark melodic dubstep. The balance of etheric synths and ferocious neuro bass fuse together and really showcase the quality of this EP. The sound design from Crystal Skies is nearing the Au5, Joe Ford, and dare I even say Koan Sound levels; you can feel the influences in their work. The new regime of melodic dubstep producers, people like Crystal Skies, Trivecta, Ra, Abandoned, and Last Heroes, are primed and ready to take over the scene. I for one will be setting aside what little expendable income I have in preparation for their rise to the next level. With a lot more music in the pipeline Crystal Skies should be in the forefront of the musical revolution.
