A-Trak doesn't disappoint. Ever. There is nothing negative you could possibly say about this guy. Whether you like what he's putting down or not, you have no choice but to respect the man. Look, I have been a hip-hop head since the beginning of time, so I appreciate this drop probably more than the next guy. But, even if you have no hip-hop fandom in your blood this is just so pure. So pure. A-Track is respected by all in the industry for his mastery on the Decks, stemming from his roots as a turn-tablist.
It's a breath of fresh air to see a guy stay true to himself in a world where everyone seems to be following the butter. Obviously you can push back saying that he is playing Vegas clubs and EDM festivals everywhere and to that I say touche, but he isn't veering off track from his beliefs as a DJ, Producer and Artist. Bro has gained respect not only from the likes of Martin Solveig, Diplo, Laidback Luke and many others (some of the most reputable EDM real DJs out there), but also Sway, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Cudi and Jay Z. The guy is meshing his crafts like not many others have all the while keeping hope that #realDJing still lives.
I had the luxury of seeing this guy behind the decks last summer at a Boiler Room event in Brooklyn and it will most certainly go down as the dopest event I have ever seen live. It was a movie. I've never seen a human doing exactly what you see in the video below for an hour straight. THIS IS WHAT YOUR KIDS SHOULD BE LISTENING TO! I've had it with you whack DJ's. True showmanship and passion for what appears to be becoming a dying them in the industry #realDJing. Bless up, Alain. I dropped the original song link in here as well. Flawless production.
Respect.
