A few months back, Era Istrefi and Felix Snow dropped a harmonic, beautiful and nearly perfect track, Redrum. The vocals are smooth, elegant incorporated with boujee production. I was a huge fan of the original. A song that did not get the full praise it deserved. A true chill track that is absolutely perfect for any time of year. But especially for, Bikini Season. I know you're probably wondering where I'm going with a brief review of a track that came out over 4 months ago, but, how do you turn a nearly perfect track on its head? How do you take a smooth, trendy, chill production and make it something different? An Australian dude by the name of, Chris Emerson.

What So Not has had us at his finger tips for some time now. From the days with Flume to the present day solo act of Chris Emerson. Always been a rad vibe. For me, I have been completely lost since he dropped “High You Are”. His remix of “Redrum” took a bit of a turn from the original. Still super chill. Just brought more of a bassy drop with a bit harder of a feel. The song in general still has everything we loved about the original. It brings the same authentic vocals and a similar bridge and build that has us lured. The Drop brings the chunes though. Much more of a trappy feel here.
What So Not continues to impress with his outstanding production and is slowly becoming one of the most talented producers in the bass/trap game. Still somehow (kind of) flying under the radar, the future is extremely bright for Aussie Producer/DJ.
