Afrojack Tries His Hand At EDM Rap And The Outcome Has Mixed Results

Crossing dance music with hip hop is not a new trend in a way. Rap artists have been sampling and including electronic music elements into the productions for decades now. But recently it has been EDM artists tapping rap lyricists for support on new music. Steve Aoki‘s ‘Kolony' was the most recent example of this, and today we can add Afrojack to the list of producers who have attempted to blend the genres.

If you heard ‘No Tomorrow' on the radio or via shuffle, you would never guess that it was an Afrojack track. This tune is through and through a rap song. That being said it is not an especially standout rap track. While we love what Afrojack has been doing so far this year and can respect the exploration of ‘No Tomorrow' we hope that the dutch legend will return back to what he does best soon.
