Over the past few years, former Club Promoter turned DJ, Borgeous, has created an imprint for himself in the EDM Universe. Known by his family and friends as John Borger, Borgeous has acclimated to the scene and delivered countless classics including : Tsunami, Stampede, Invincible, Wildfire, Tutankhamun, They Don’t Know Us, Souls, Zero Gravity, Ride It, Wanna Lose You…. It’s weird how sometimes we get so lost in new music and forget how many smashers a DJ has dropped in recent memory. Starting off 2017 with singles “Feel So Good”, “Hold Up” and “Give Em What They Came For”, one of your favorite American DJ’s and Shalizi Team Member, Borgeous is back with another hit “Sweeter Without You” featuring Taylr Renee.
Borgeous kicks us off with a strong piano line. Soothing, very soothing. After about 15 seconds of mesmerizing soothes, Taylr Renee’s vocals kick and we are thrown into a production that we have grown accustomed to expect from Borgeous. Guy has an ear for the marketable. Let me take a step back; not only the marketable, but, the extremely catchy. Borgeous tosses us into the build and drops us off the deep end to a smooth drop. Not your typical festival drop, but a pop drop that has endless replay value.
Borgeous continues to impress with his stylistic approach and great ear for production. Continuing his legacy into Fall 17, listen to “Sweeter Without You”. Just in time to add it to you Weekend Playlist!
