Headliners, this year's EDC Orlando is almost a month away and we couldn't be any more excited. For first-timers, you're in for one amazing experience that you will truly enjoy. With every great experience comes with proper care for not only yourself, but others as well. To make sure you have a fun and safe festival experience, we are providing you with our very own prep-guide.
Stay Hydrated
With every festival comes the excessive rays of the sun's heat. There is no doubt that you will be sweating through all the partying and dancing at this fascinating event. Stay hydrated! You need to make up for all of the water you will be losing. If you don't have aThere will also be a water refill station where you can refill your water bottles, camel-backs, canteens, etc. There is no way you can go without water at this water-filled event.
Wear Comfortable Clothing
Comfortable Clothing is a must at this festival. Wear clothing that's cool and breezy such as shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, skirts, etc. It will get extremely hot, so you don't want to expose yourself to the heat with long sleeve shirts, jackets, pants, etc. It's Florida! When is it ever cold there? Along with comfortable clothing, make sure you bring comfortable shoes as well. You will be dancing for two days! It's important that you wear your proper dancing shoes.
Stay in Touch with Your Friends
When entering the festival, make sure to choose a meetup spot for you and your friends. Just in case you all get separated, you can all find each other there. Make sure you know where your friends are. Keep in touch with them throughout the day so you know if their okay.
Remember Where You Parked
Although it may seem crazy to forget where your car is, it actually happens more often than you think. Make sure you know where you parked your car so you can get home safe after the festival. You don't want to be searching for your car in the middle of the night, afraid that you might not make it home. For those who are riding with Uber or Lyft, make sure to find out where the local pick-up spots are.
Bring a Portable Charger/Charging Case
When attending the festival, it is recommended you bring a portable charger or charging case. It is extremely likely that your phone will absorb all of it's battery before the end of the night. To stay in contact with your friends and family, you can use the portable charger to charge you phone. These portable devices will be allowed into the festival.
Know Where the Medical Tents Are
It's recommended that you know where the closest medical tent is to you. For worse case scenarios, such as heat stroke, dehydration, etc., you'll know where to go just in case something happens. You will receive appropriate medical assistance for whatever the reason may be for your visit.
