The gunman who murdered at least 59 people at the country music festival on Sunday night, may have originally targeted another Las Vegas music festival according to a senior law enforcement source.
The Daily Beast reports that Stephen Paddock rented multiple condos overlooking the annual Life Is Beautiful Festival. According to the source, the Life Is Beautiful festival which hosted artists such as Chance The Rapper, Kaskade, Pretty Lights, ZHU, Zeds Dead, and Lorde, may have been the original target of Paddock's attack.
The Daily Beast visited the 21-story luxury condominium tower, the Ogden, in hopes of finding out whether the grounds where in direct sight of the concert grounds. The law enforcement source who is not on this case suggested that Paddock may have lost his nerve or changed his plans and checked into the Mandalay Bay Hotel on September 28th.
