Ookay and the rest of Moe Shalizi’s squad have found even more glory in 2017. Solidifying his footprint on the industry with his original production and taking over some of the most renowned clubs in the world, Abe Laguna is setting himself for an unreal future in the EDM game. Coming off the drop of his single with Fox Stevenson “Lighthouse” in early September, which took the game by storm, Ookay is poised for much much more. With his “WOW COOL Tour” which has already began to take North America by Strom. Incorporating a Live aspect, he is delivering a much different aspect to EDM Sets.
That said, our favorite “Thief” is back with a killer remix to his homie Marshmello’s track “Silence” feat Khalid. The tempo is immediately raised to a more jumpy bass line. Incorporating his token sound to the single, Ookay has delivered what is a masterful take on an already smooth track. Opening the track with a dial tone, he jumps right into the classy Khalid vocals accompanied by a deep keyboard play. The track continues with a surreal combination of sound.
We have heard a handful of remixes to Marshmello’s track over the past weeks, Ookay’s bringing a far different feel from the others. It is an extremely different take than what we are used to hearing on the radio and it is refreshing to hear the sound experimentation. There is a lot going on in this track but he meshes the diversity to a tee. Peep here.
Oh wait, not done yet. For those of you that were at Lollapalooza, Ookay will be incorpotating those visual into his tour. Facinating lights and unreal “Fresh Prince-esq” visuals to accompany his diverse playing style and Live aspects. I can promise, you have never seen anything like this on an EDM tour and is definitely something to check out. To make the deal even sweeter… There is a forthcoming album expected to drop in early 2018. It keeps getting better, i know. I said it earlier, but having taken the EDM game by storm, you can expected to see some more bangers coming in the very near future. You know what, here is a video done by videographer Chris Almerida @chrisallmeid to see what was good a Lolla and to give you a taste of this tour. Also, grab tickets through his Facebook page, you dont want to miss this.
