With his debut album Contrary To Popular Belief to be released one week from today, Friday, Nov. 17, the Boulder-based DJ and producer Nobide has dropped a new single from the forthcoming record.
Beginning with a smooth downtempo rhythm reminiscent of Pretty Lights that slowly builds up with ambient backing vocals, “Ascent” culminates to be a beautiful jazz-infused number. “Ascent” takes the listener on a psychedelic adventure through sound, rising as the track's tensions grow and taking a climactic turn when the saxophone ultimately begins to break the production down.
