Hey dance music fans! Today we are back with yet another installment of our Artist of the week Series! Today we are bringing you a fantastic artist we think is worthy of this title. He goes by the alias of Shane 54 and this is his week!
Shane 54 is busting back onto the progressive / trance scene with the help of Jonathan Mendelsohn, an artist who was featured on the high pedigree of Who's Who in Trance Music Collaborations and many more. Shane 54 comes back hard with his newest record Return to Love, released on Armind, an imprint of Armada, where all the records are hand picked by the Trance God himself, Armin Van Buuren!
Dark and brooding at its start, the song immediately captures your attention. It then quickly gives way to the penetrating light of Jonathan Mendelsohn’s vocals and Shane 54’s bright production. Shane 54 had the following to say about the collaboration,
“I’ve been wanting to work with Jonathan for years. When this song was an instrumental draft, I just knew he would be the perfect pairing for its energy. I’d say that he more than delivered on this one.” – Shane 54
In 2016, Shane 54 embarked on a solo career after the disbandment of his duo, Myon and Shane 54. This marks the third solo release from Shane 54 who has also been busy with his weekly radio show, International Departures, and touring.
Jonathan Mendelsohn is an accomplished song-writer, producer, vocalist, and performer whose last few years have been a whirlwind of musical collaborations and rebirths, putting him on a trajectory towards the release of his long-awaited debut album.
