Coming off the heels of Art Basel it feels only write to feature an up and coming Miami based artist this Monday afternoon. While you may not be familiar with the name Dr. Mofongo just yet, his ability to blend styles into a one of a kind sound will draw you in and leave you wanting more than only a single. We have the pleasure of debuting his fantastically unique release off of Miami label, Bribery Corporation today. It is called ‘Stately Pleasure Dome' and the name hits the vibe of the track perfectly on the head.
Pleasure In Many Ways
Dr. Mofongo is the moniker of British/Ecuadorian artist Francisco Narvaez. Many experiences ranging from performing at top Miami nightlife spots including Space and the Perez Art Museum to curating the airwaves of WVUM 90.5FM have helped Dr. Mofongo develop an eclectic style. ‘Stately Pleasure Dome' is a hypnotic demonstration of hybrid hip hop and electronic styles. The constant, almost melancholy beat will draw you in as it produces intense and introspective emotion throughout.
The single is the lead off to his debut album, Me Mori, which will be released off of Bribery Corporation later this year. It is clear that Dr. Mofongo has a bright future ahead, and we cannot wait to hear more from both him and Bribery Corporation in 2018. Check out the track below.
