Many of you can remember the early inception years of EDM. Armin Van Buuren, 3lau, Audien, Steve Aoki, Tiesto, all of our favorite names were dropping heaters with a bit of a new sound, a sound that was captivating the masses and bringing new fans to the Electronic Music world. Much like the Rock takeover that our parents encountered, Music was changing as we knew it. On the heels of that takeover was a name that gained a great deal of recognition on festival stages and amongst our favorite DJs, Ansolo.
Ansolo grew to as an artist and delivered some of the coolest sets and tracks of his time. However, the multi-talented DJ seamlessly transitioned his career focus to acting. Most recently, the “Baby Driver” headman, Ansel Elgort has taken on lead roles and dominated the big screen earning a Golden Globe nomination. With hits like “Totem”, “Unite” and “To Life”, it was only a matter of time before the gifted DJ/Producer returned to the world of Dance Music.
Over the past few years, Ansel has exposed us to yet another side of his skill set, his vocals. Delving back into the realm of Dance Music, Ansel has created mesmerizing tracks captivating the masses with his intoxicating vocals and production skills. Dropping “Home Alone” back in 2016, the DJ/Actor made it known that this was not a gimmick and that his talent would be impossible to go unheard. He brings a deep ‘Sinatra’ tone that sets him apart from his competition and delivers heart tingling melodies. With movies like “Jonathan” and “Billionaire Boys Club” in post-production, we are on the brink of a superstar being born. The singer/producer even has a hit wrapped up with Hip-Hop phenomenon, Logic!
Teasing hints at a new single “Supernova” on his Instagram stories, Ansel is set to takeover 2018 and beyond. As one of the most talented overall talents in the game, there is no telling what we are actually in for come the new-year. That said, we can imagine we are in for something big.
