Skrillex has been one of the most in demand names in 2017, just like he was in 2016 and in 2015. You get the idea, Sonny Moore is in high, high demand people. That is was many fans were disappointed to see that Skrillex only played on live show in 2017. That performance was at FORM Arcosanti back in May. It is the set that gave us the first listen to his now infamous remix of Kendrick Lamar‘s ‘Humble'.
A Few Shows To End 2017
The Skrillex subreddit was quick to notice that Brownies and Lemonade, the masterful event company based out of Los Angeles teamed up with OWSLA for a year ending showcase in Kyoto, Japan. The event is an after party for the OWSLA pop up shop opening up in the city for the weekend. Now obviously an OWSLA showcase does not mean Skrillex will be making appearances by any means. The OWSLA roster is stacked with enough talent to support their own show without the help of their beloved label boss. Still fans got rumors raging by creating a flyer for the event that seems to be a fake.
While on the nose it seems that it could be legit, it is in fact is a dressed up version of this poster from 2014.
Now it should be known that the event does have an official flyer which can be seen below. Both days of the event have already sold out as the hype behind a possible Skrillex appearance has hit a fever pitch. It seems like we will not know for sure if Sonny will be in Japan until next week when the shows take place. Keep your eyes peeled people!
