Martin Garrix had massive success once again in 2017. He released music which topped charts all over the world. Had 3 singles in the top 100 most streamed songs on the year, was named DJ Mag's top DJ again, and headlined festivals all over the world. Not bad for a guy who hasn't even seen the latter half of his 20's huh? Well to finish out the year Martin released his highly anticipated collaboration with David Guetta, ‘So Far Away'. The future bass sound that much of Garrix's name has become synonymous with quickly was picked up by fans and radio stations all over the world. Now today, Martin has released the official remix package for the track.
It features several edits of the tune from names both small and large. Some decided to edit things entirely while others chose to a take a route more closely honoring the original. Nicky Romero took all future elements out of the song and injected a high energy big room progressive drop in instead. Whereas CLIQ took the track and worked in deep house throughout making for an electrifying and unexpected rework.
All in all this was a notably strong remix package for a song which is continuing to climb the charts as you read this. Seeing that this is only Volume 1, we can expect many more remixes for ‘So Far Away' as we head into the new year.
