At the CES Conference in Las Vegas this year, Panasonic shared their plans to release two new Technics turntables in 2018.
Back in August, Technics revealed its plans to revive the SP-10 making it the “most premium turntable ever.” Little was known about what the turntables would offer until the official model was announced with a coreless direct-drive motor, a 10mm-thick brass weight and low-speed irregularities. The premium turntable also comes with a rubber layer attached on the rear plat surface to limit unwanted vibrations.
In addition to the SP-10R, Technics announced the SL-1000R model as well.
The SP-10 will set you back $10,000.
