The Lumineers are an American folk rock band based in Denver, Colorado. The band's principal members are Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites. The Lumineers rose to prominence in 2012 with their song “Ho Hey”, which peaked at number 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Their self-titled debut album was released in April 2012 and became a commercial success in the United States and Europe, peaking at number 2 on the US Billboard 200 chart and number 1 on the UK Albums Chart. The album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 2013. The band's second album, Cleopatra, was released on April 8, 2016. In February 2017, they released the lead single from the album, “Ophelia”. The Lumineers have sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. They have been nominated for three Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist and Best Americana Album. They won an Emmy Award for their performance of “Stubborn Love” on the television series Portlandia. In 2020, they were nominated for two Grammy Awards: Best American Roots Song and Best American Roots Performance for “Gloria”.
